About our horses: We are very passionate about breeding good working horses. We focus on good feather, bone, size and nature in our horses. We work our horses in sledge, wagon, log skidding, hay making, under saddle, showing them around New Zealand and more. We occasionally do demonstration days with our horses at public events. We have been breeding Clydesdales for 14 years now with myself (Erin) the founder of Sabella riding horses from the age of 4 in my native home of Canada. We don't often have horses for sale but when we do you can have a look at our for sale page here. You can view our Facebook and Instagram by clicking on the icon below. |
About buying a puppy from us: We are very passionate about what we do with our horses and our dogs. With our dogs we form strong relationships with our new puppy fur baby family members which you can see on our testimonials page and on our progeny page. We are very active on our Facbeook page: www.facebook.com/SabellaFarm and on our Instagram page @SabellaFarms with regular updates, reviews and albums showing our pups and contact we maintain with our clients. We TEST all of our German Shepherds. We do more testing then most breeders do. Our dogs are all comprehensively DNA tested. We do as much testing for genetic issues as we can. Our hip and elbow scoring is done by a specialist located in Australia. We take a lot of pride in our testing and the comfort this gives our new puppy family members. We believe very strongly in breeding dogs that are from parents that are very well tested. This is not done by all breeders and is something that is extremely important to ensure people are getting a healthy happy pup. You don't need to buy a dog from us but you do need to make sure you get a pup that has parents that have been tested. We focus on breeding really kind, sweet dogs that are suitable for family and farm homes. We know that your dog is a huge part of your family, so we breed dogs that are happy and thrive in any home, including families with children, in service roles or people with disabilities. Our dogs are great on farms, doing agility work, being a support dog in hospitals just to name a few. Our dogs are smart and easily trained and are just really nice all around dogs. That is our main focus with what we do and we take a lot of pride in that. We are very selective on who our puppies go to and we develop a strong bond with the people who do have one of our pups.
