Producing the best German Shepherds in New Zealand our dogs are flat backed, fully DNA tested, Hip and Elbow scored and Vet CERTIFIED.

Sabella farms is owned by Bryce McKinley and Erin Miller and is based in the mighty King Country on 100 acres of paddocks, rolling hills, lakes and native bush. It's a stunning place to raise our dogs and horses and gives them a wonderful start.

We are very active on social media and try and keep our website up to date so people can get a good idea of who we are and the dogs that we produce so you can make an informed decision when looking for your next family member to see if we are a good fit.

 

Our main focus and passion is breeding standard coloured and rare coloured vet tested German Shepherds and Registered Clydesdales. We stand a Clydesdale stallion at stud and we are open to mares over 16hh. We generally have foals each year and some are available for sale to the open market. 

 

Our German Shepherds are thoroughly vet tested/vet certified, flat backed, excellent natured, trainable German Shepherds. We provide healthy dogs to family's and to people looking for a puppy from thoroughly tested parents who also have the exceptional nature we look for in a Sabella dog. Many breeders over look the importance of nature alongside vet testing and certifications however here it's one of our main focuses.

We also produce many of the more rare or impossible colours to find in German Shepherds. Including white, black, silver, saddleback tans and saddleback silvers, brindle, silver brindle, and we also produce standard Black and Tans. To find these colours from fully tested and vet certified parents is almost impossible in New Zealand. Coupled with the beautiful nature our dogs have this makes our dogs exceptional. 

 

Our many years of thorough testing and focus on nature through generations of breeding has allowed us to produce some of the best natured and thoroughly vet tested German Shepherds in New Zealand (in many cases our pups have several generations of complete testing behind them which is exceptional to find in a German Shepherd!)​​

Aside from our strict testing our strong focus on a flat back, lovely nature, size and coat produces absolutely lovely all around German Shepherds.

 

In the past year we have exported 4 of our pups internationally.

 

Some people in New Zealand wait years for one of our pups and our litters often sell out before they are born so it's recommended to get on our deposit list to ensure we have something available when you're ready for a new family member. Especialy if your wanting one of the more rare colours like white, silver or black.
